Payments & Fulfillment
Harvest 57 is a place to find local producers — not a payment processor. You get paid directly by your customers, and you're in charge of your own orders and refunds.
You set how you get paid
You choose which methods you accept — cash, check, card in person, or apps like Venmo and Cash App. Payment options are set by each producer, and some products may require payment in advance through Venmo or Cash App. You can decide, per product, whether payment happens at pickup or ahead of time.
- The customer pays you directly, using a method you accept.
- You confirm when you've actually received payment — a customer saying they sent it isn't the same as money arriving.
- You're responsible for fulfilling confirmed orders and for any refunds you owe.
Harvest 57 never holds the money
Harvest 57 never holds, splits, transfers, or distributes funds. There is no Harvest 57 account that money passes through. Every payment is between you and your customer.
Your full payment handle isn't shown publicly unless you choose to make it public — normally a customer sees it only when they have a real order with you.
When something goes wrong
If a prepaid order runs into trouble, Harvest 57 can help — but there are real limits to what a directory can do.
Harvest 57 will help communicate with the producer and review problems with prepaid orders. Because payment is made directly to the producer, refunds must be issued by the producer or handled through the payment provider.
Harvest 57 cannotreverse a Venmo or Cash App payment — those apps don't work that way, and no one at Harvest 57 can pull money back. What we can do is help both sides communicate and review what happened.
Repeated problems
Most producers never have an issue. But a pattern of unresolved problems — orders that don't get fulfilled, refunds that never come — can lead to a producer's listings being paused or their account suspended. Keeping this a place people trust protects every honest producer here.
