Community Seller Rules
Community Seller Rules
Harvest 57 is for local food and handmade goods from the people who grow, raise, bake, sew, build, and make them. These rules keep it that way — plain language, no surprises.
Who can sell here
You don't need a formal business or a storefront. A backyard gardener, a beekeeper, a home baker, a quilter, a woodworker, or any local maker is welcome. Joining is free — no listing fees, no subscriptions, no commissions.
When you apply, you agree that:
- I live or operate within Johnson County or the nearby service area.
- I personally grow, raise, bake, sew, build, craft, or substantially make the products I list.
- I represent my products accurately and keep availability and prices current.
- I follow the licensing, labeling, tax, food-safety, and consumer laws that apply to what I sell.
- I fulfill what I commit to, or communicate promptly if something changes.
- I handle my own payments and refunds directly with customers.
- I treat customers and other producers respectfully.
Two kinds of producers
Harvest 57 has two marketplace families. You can be in one or both.
What can't be sold here
Harvest 57 is not a general classifieds site. To keep it about real, locally made things, these are never allowed:
- Dropshipping
- Mass-produced resale
- Unrelated used goods
- Counterfeit products
- Stolen goods
- Weapons
- Ammunition
- Alcohol
- Tobacco or nicotine products
- Cannabis, CBD, or recreational drugs
- Prescription products
- Dangerous chemicals
- Sexually explicit goods
- Recalled or unlawful products
- Hate or extremist merchandise
Reselling items you didn't make, dropshipping, and mass-produced goods aren't a fit either — this is a place for what you actually grow or make.
How approval works
Every application is reviewed by a person before a page goes live. Submitting an application does not make you public — an administrator reviews it first and may approve it, ask for a few changes, or (rarely) decline it. You can save your application and finish it later, and you can do the whole thing from your phone.
Approval by Harvest 57 does not certify legal compliance. You remain responsible for your own permits, licenses, taxes, product safety, labeling, allergens, and following the laws that apply to what you sell.
The rest of the rules
Two more short pages cover the specifics:
- Photos — show your own work, honestly, with nothing private in the frame.
- Payments & Fulfillment — you get paid directly; you handle your own refunds.

A basic application takes about 5–10 minutes, it's free, and you can save and come back anytime.
