About Harvest 57
A live board for local food.
Johnson County's local food network — a simple place to see what's fresh this week and reach out before it's gone.
Harvest 57 is Johnson County's local food network — a simple place to see what farms, gardens, apiaries, and home bakers around the county actually have this week, and to reach out before it's gone.
It exists because the food is already here. What's been missing is an easy way to know who has eggs this week, whose sweet corn just came in, and when the beef is back. Producers keep their own board up to date from their phones; you contact the producer about what you want and pick it up directly from them.
Harvest 57 never stands between you and the producer.
See what's posted, reach out
See what's actually in the cooler this week, contact the producer, and arrange pickup — no guessing, no runaround.
You pay them directly
Payment options are set by each producer — cash, check, Venmo, Cash App, or a card reader at the stand. Some products may need payment in advance. Harvest 57 takes no cut of any sale.
Producers keep their own board
Each producer posts and confirms what they have from their phone. Listings that lapse drop off automatically, so the board stays honest.
Who pays for this?
Nobody who grows food. Producers pay no listing fees, no subscriptions, and no commissions. The project runs on volunteer time, voluntary community contributions, local sponsors, and in-kind support.
Harvest 57 is a community project associated with Hardgate Systems. It is not a nonprofit, and contributions are not tax-deductible.
